Academic Achievement Award Winner

I am eager to be continuing my education at the University of Miami and plan on earning a bachelor’s degree in Public Health from the university. In the long run I hope to become a medical doctor and use my knowledge to serve and educate underprivileged and overlooked communities. With the help from your generous scholarship, I can focus my energy towards excelling academically and not stress about the financial burden that pursuing a college education can often result in. I am honored to be recognized as a Champion from Dr. DeSimone and his organization. I feel proud to see my hard work paying off and I am now even more motivated to continue pursing my educational goals with the determination of a real champion.

Athletic Achievement Award Honorable Mention

I am honored to be the recipient of the Athletic Achievement Award from the Charity for Champions Organization. I will be furthering my education at the University of Florida as a Biology major. I am so excited to see where my four years at the University of Florida end up. At the end of my years at the University of Florida, I plan to go to medical school. I would like to become a Sports Medicine, foot and ankle surgeon. I am also excited to take charge as a leader of my class at the University of Florida. I would like to thank Dr. DeSimone and the Charity for Champions Scholarship Foundation for awarding me this scholarship.

Medical Interest Award Winner

I am very honored to be a recipient of the Medical Interest Award! I am so grateful to Dr. DeSimone and the wonderful team of doctors at the South Florida Institute of Sports Medicine who have treated me throughout the years and encouraged me at every step along the way to run at the collegiate level, as well as in my pursuit to be an Orthopedic surgeon. 

Currently, I am privileged to be an athlete at Florida State University running on the Cross Country and Track Team. I am taking classes in Pre-Med and Exercise Physiology in preparation to go to medical school.

I would like to say thank you to Charity for Champions, and Dr. DeSimone for this generous award. I will use this to further my education at the University of Central Florida, where I will grow and become my own person, hopefully someone that not only myself but family and friends can be proud of. This recognition means very much, it shows that hard work and dedication does get noticed, and it will continue to drive me to be the best student and person I can be.

Extraordinary Community Service Award Winner

I am truly honored to be chosen as the recipient of the Extraordinary Community Service Award. I would like to thank Dr. DeSimone and the Charity for Champions organization for this recognition. It is an incredible feeling to know that all of my hard work in the classroom, in my community, and on both the cross country course and track has paid off. I am attending Washington University in St. Louis where I plan to study political science and psychology. I look forward to taking classes in both areas and discovering my passions. Once again, thank you so much for this amazing honor!

Most Improved Athlete Award Honorable Mention

I am honored to be a recipient of a Charity for Champions scholarship. Thank you. I intend to use the scholarship money towards my books and fees at UNF.  Being selected for a scholarship will help me towards my immediate goal of studying to be a professional in public health and working in the medical field. I am also passionate about volunteering and hope that my experience as a volunteer will help me to develop my natural instinct to help and be of service to those in need. Thank you for recognizing me. I hope to one day help others as you are helping me.

First of all, I just want to say thank you so much for this scholarship. This means so much to me. With this scholarship, I will be able to attend the school of my dreams and further my education. I will be able to receive the credits that I need and be able to study the things that are important to me. With this scholarship, I plan to attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I will be majoring in business administration, I will also be minoring in Real Estate since that is the direction I want my career to go in. It’s truly an honor to receive this award from Dr. DeSimone and the Charity for Champions Organization. AsI begin my college career at FIU, I am excited to have the opportunity to continue playing football at the college level. I am also excited to continue to pursue a college degree in Computer Science. My high school football experience as well as my academic achievements have given me a great foundation to move forward into the college experience. I hope to take these opportunities to their fullest extent and better myself along the way. Team Fellowship Award Winner

I am deeply honored to have received the Team Fellowship Award. I will be attending the University of Florida and plan on graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. In the future, I want to pursue a doctorate degree in the field of Industrial/Organizational Psychology, which focuses on employee behaviors in the workplace. This award means so much to me, as it recognizes the hard work that local student athletes do. With it, I know the financial burden on me and my parents will be lessened, allowing me to reach my full potential.

Throughout my college experience I would like to achieve my lifelong dream of becoming a firefighter. As of right now I am taking all of the prerequisites in order to get into EMT/paramedic school. The Charity For Champions scholarship has helped me to attend the college that I wanted to go to and it also helped motivate me to do better in college.
