Thank you so much for selecting me as the recipient of the Leadership Award! I plan on attending the University of Florida in the fall to study Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. I hope to continue on to graduate school after that. This scholarship is a great honor to receive and makes me extremely proud as it shows my involvement in soccer has helped me, as well as my nonprofit, the Fort Lauderdale Book Fair, in leading others and making a positive impact in my community. I am honored to have received the Extraordinary Community Service Award and could not be more grateful for Dr. DeSimone and his team’s support. Through my experience in cross country and track, I have learned that a true champion uses their influence to uplift those around them, a lesson that inspires me to make a difference in my community. Serving others has been my passion and has shaped me into the person I am today. This scholarship will help me further my education at the University of Florida, where I will be studying landscape architecture. After graduation, I plan to use my degree to continue serving underprivileged communities, and work with them to create beautiful spaces that help fulfill their specific needs.

My future plans are to go to my 4 year college and major in Pre Dental while playing collegiate football. If my talent is great enough for the NFL I will take my chances and play in the pros but my second option is going to a dental school after my first 4 years. It is an honor for me to receive the Team Fellowship Award from Charity for Champions in the Senior Awards Night at Cypress Bay High School. I am extremely grateful to be receiving an award with such meaning and inspiration behind it that it demonstrates the hard work I have put into my athletic and academic life. Seeing the certificate in my hand has brought me joy knowing that I will have been rewarded for my work ethic and will be able to use that reward as financial help in Florida State University when I move out of college. Although my journey in soccer has come to an end, I will forever be grateful and happy that I was able to retire in a high note thanks to this award. Thank you.

I appreciate the generosity behind this scholarship, and I am committed to making the most of this opportunity given to me. Thank you for believing in me. Your support truly makes a difference in my journey as a future football player at Florida International University. I plan to major in business, which will provide me with a strong foundation in entrepreneurship, marketing, finance and management. My focus is to build a successful career in entrepreneurship by creating a business that combines my passion for sports, community, and leadership. I’m deeply grateful and honored to have received this award and to be recognized by this amazing organization. This fall I will be attending Florida Atlantic University where I will be majoring in business and continuing my softball career! Continuing softball in college means the world to me and I’m so blessed to have the opportunity to do it at FAU. I’m looking forward to making new friends, keeping my grades up and working hard on the field! With this scholarship, it will take away much stress by taking care of my expenses. The scholarship from Charity for Champions shows how hard work pays off. It shows how you do not have to be the best to succeed, but if you repeatedly push forward when the times are the toughest, you are a true athlete. I plan to continue pushing myself every day, from studying to serving in the military through ROTC. I will be attending the University of Alabama and hope to serve as a Cybersecurity technician in the Ranger battalion. Thank you again for this recognition.

I am so grateful and honored to have received the Leadership Award from the Charity for Champions committee. This scholarship means so much to me as an acknowledgement of all the hard work I’ve done throughout high school to help my community through various clubs and social events. I only hope I can motivate student-athletes to put their all into every aspect of their life, whether it be sports, extracurriculars, academics, etc. This scholarship will allow me to financially progress through my future plans of studying Industrial Engineering at the University of Central Florida to potentially pursue a career in project management. I’m so excited to see where college takes me, and I owe it to the Charity for Champions committee for assisting me throughout this process and providing this amazing opportunity and recognition. I am honored and extremely grateful to be selected as a recipient of the Charity for Champions Personal Achievement Award. To me, this recognition is a powerful reminder of the lessons I’ve learned through overcoming challenges and adversity—both on and off the court. The scholarship funds I’ve received will go directly toward my education. This fall, I will be attending Tallahassee State College as part of the Aspire Elite program, which serves as a pathway to Florida State University. I plan to major in Psychology with the goal of becoming a Child Life Specialist. I cannot thank Dr. DeSimone, his family, and the entire Charity for Champions organization enough for this award and their incredible support.

I am incredibly excited for the next few years of my life, especially bringing on the college experience. I hope to learn and develop tools to further myself as someone who aspires to enter the front office side of football. Over the next couple of years, I plan to gain knowledge in sports management, build connections, and land an internship to help jumpstart the journey. Later down the line, my end goal would be to become a general manager for one of the thirty-two NFL teams(let’s go Giants), I know that this goal is going to take plenty of time, countless sacrifices, and just a little bit of luck involved but I am so ready to give it everything I got. To become a recipient of this scholarship means so much I want to make sure the recognition comes with a great follow-up. With the burden of college expenses being quite a handful I am so. Grateful to receive this scholarship, especially the athlete side of me to be able to be recognized and rewarded after putting countless hours into my sport means the world, thank you Charity for Champions.

Being recognized for extraordinary community service through the Charity for Champions award is an honor and something I cherish deeply. I am extremely thankful for this scholarship and hope that it motivates rising seniors to stay committed to making a difference in their community. I plan to continue my passion for marketing at Florida State University while implementing ways of giving back to my community in Tallahassee and back at home in Broward.
