Extraordinary Community Service Award

I am extremely grateful to have received the Extraordinary Community Service Award. This fall I will be attending Swarthmore College to play lacrosse and study Biology and Statistics. I plan to continue participating in community service in college as it has been a big part of my life thus far. Huge thank you to Dr. DeSimone and his organization for this opportunity to be recognized for my achievements.

Samantha Strauss

Academic Achievement Award

I am honored to have received the Academic Achievement Award from Charity for Champions. This scholarship will help me with expenses as I attend the University of Florida to study health sciences and nutrition, in hopes of pursuing a career as an orthodontist. Earning this scholarship means a lot to me as it shows that all of my hard work in the classroom and on the court/field has paid off over the last 4 years. I look forward to representing the Charity for Champions scholarship program throughout my time in college and would like to thank Dr. DeSimone and everyone from the Charity for Champions organization for awarding me this scholarship and helping support student-athletes!

Team Fellowship Award Honorable Mention

I am planning in the future, majoring in civil engineering in the University of Florida, maintaining a good GPA, excellent grades, and continuing playing soccer. Then, becoming a successful professional with a great family. At the same time, this scholarship means a lot for me, because is a special recognition of my hard work as a student and as an athlete. Also, it is going to help me financially to achieve my goals.

Goodwill Scholarship Honorable Mention

I am attending school at Broward College. I am starting EMT classes in January. I plan on becoming a Paramedic and Firefighter in the near future. I am very thankful for this award, it means a lot to me that I was recognized for all the dedication I have put into helping others. I will soon be having a career based around helping others and I could not be more excited.

Medical Interest Award

After high school, I will attend Nova Southeastern University where I will play Division 2 Soccer and major in Exercise and Sports Science. After all of my hard work in high school through academics and extracurriculars such as soccer, it is fulfilling to see it be recognized. Earning this scholarship is a testament that when you put in the work and focus on your goals, you can accomplish great things. I am so proud and thankful to receive this award as it is an honor and it is helping me start my journey in the sports medicine world. 

Lauren Siegman-Sobrino

Goodwill Scholarship

I plan on attending the University of South Florida and majoring in Biomedical Sciences in hopes of pursuing veterinary medicine. This scholarship means so much more to me than just the money. I always strive to spread kindness and impact those around me positively. I got the “goodwill” scholarship which proved to me that I was able to impact a room full of people I never met with my kindness. I hope to continue positively impacting those around me and my community in the future. This scholarship served as recognition for the person I always try to be.
