Athletic Achievement Award Honorable Mention

I am going out of state for college at the University of Alabama. Out-of-state tuition is insane and I have not received any other scholarships so this one is truly a gift. I am thankful to be recognized as an honorable mention for athletic achievement! This award will allow me to begin my studies at the university and work towards my goal of becoming a teacher. I plan to continue my athletic journey while cheering in school as well. I am extremely grateful for this award and for the Charity of Champions organization as a whole for giving this opportunity to us athletes!

Medical Interest Award

After highschool, I will attend Nova Southeastern University where I will play Division 2 Soccer and major in Exercise and Sports Science. After all of my hard work in high school through academics and extracurriculars such as soccer, it is fulfilling to see it be recognized. Earning this scholarship is a testament that when you put in the work and focus on your goals, you can accomplish great things. I am so proud and thankful to receive this award as it is an honor and it is helping me start my journey in the sports medicine world.

Extraordinary Community Service Award

My future plans are to attend Florida State University in the fall and major in athletic training. After my undergraduate studies, I plan to attend PA school where I hope to become a pediatric orthopedist PA. After shadowing many times in Dr. D's office, this scholarship became very special to me. It was in that office that I was able to really decide and see what I wanted to be doing in my future.

Goodwill Scholarship

I am extremely honored to have received the Goodwill Scholarship. I am so grateful for all of the opportunities, both through school and sports, that have created a platform for me to earn this scholarship. The role of Captain on the Cypress Bay Varsity Girls Lacrosse Team gave me the opportunity to create a sense of comradery that benefited everyone on and off the lacrosse field. Also, my role as a Relay for Life Captain further taught me the importance of having compassion for others even when you don’t receive anything in return. These experiences have taught me lessons in life that have shaped me into the best version of myself and I hope to share these lessons with others in the future.

I am continuing my education at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL and I plan to major in Communications. I am excited to start this new chapter of my life so that I can expand my interests and creativity to hopefully make a difference in the world around me. My coaches, parents, and the entire Cypress Bay Staff have pushed me to become the best I can possible be both in the classroom and on the lacrosse feild, and I am leaving the Bay a better person because of it. Finally, I would like to thank Dr. Al DeSimone and the entire Charity for Champions organization for this opportunity and their willingness to help hardworking students and athletes, such as myself, succeed as they leap into the next stage of their life.

Medical Interest Award

I am so honored to receive the Charity for Champions Medical Interest Award. I would like to thank Dr. DeSimone for recognizing my dedication, passion, and perseverance over the last four years. This generous scholarship will allow me to continue following my passions and furthering my academic career. Throughout high school I found a deep passion for science and service, both of which will play an active role as I pursue a career in the medical field. This fall I will be attending Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee where I plan to major in Biology and minor in Health Equity. In the future, I hope to attend medical school and one day become a pediatric oncologist. While at Rhodes, I will also be continuing my love of the game as a member of the varsity softball team. Once again, thank you to Dr. DeSimone and the Charity for Champions team for recognizing students’ outstanding accomplishments and supporting us as we enter the next chapter of our lives.

Goodwill Scholarship

I deeply appreciate the scholarship I was awarded. This scholarship will assist in relieving some of the financial burden of attending The University of Florida. In addition, and more importantly, this scholarship is a reflection of my hard work. The countless hours of studying and long nights of practices did not go unnoticed and I am grateful for being recognized. I am looking forward to my journey at the University of Florida where I will study finance, and pursue a career as a financial analyst.

Thank You Dr. Desimone and Charity for Champions.
